Where can I get dry ice?

I've bought dry ice at my local grocery store for $1/lb which is pretty good. If you can't find it there, check your local ice cream shop or deli, they usually get dry ice with their shipments and are usually happy to sell it to you. Another thing to keep in mind is that most places you have to be 18 or older to buy dry ice.

Take a look at www.wheretogetdryice.net or click here: where to get dry ice. This is the best site I found for figuring out where I can get dry ice.
There are some places where it's not in common use. In those places, get your yellow pages out (you do have a phone book where you live, right?) and call a few numbers under companies that supply compressed CO2 or another gas and ask around. Be prepared to explain why you want it.
I wanted it for explosive purposes what do i ask.
Ask a policeman.

. Your best bet would be to look in the Yellow Pages (or your local equiv) under "dry ice" or "carbon dioxide"
. Many ppl that ship small frozen/refrigerated items use dry ice. Eg, florists, bait shops.
. Discharge a CO2 fire extinguisher. It's rather "fluffy" so may not work for a DIB. Plus, it will get you into a LOT of trouble if the extinguisher is not yours.
