Wholemeal Flour?

You suggest using 3/4 cup of wholemeal for 1c of white flour? What about if I want to maintain the volume - can I increase the liquid to compensate?

May I ask for what kind of recipe? 3/4 cup of wholemeal flour will absorb the same amount of moisture that 1 cup of white flour will.

I'm trying to make light wholemeal cheese scones instead of lead weights, but I want to keep the sizes of the scones up, as who needs small scones. Wholemeal because then I don't feel so bad about eating too many.
