Why did nobody video the plane crashing into the Hudson?

Wasn't it in a highly populated area?? Doesn't everybody carry camera phones these days??

By the time you notice the event, realise it's worth filming, find your phone, switch on the video, point it at the event... it's all over.

There were a lot of videos of the 911 planes because they flew over, past or into landmarks that are videoed almost 24 hours a day by both tourists and TV crews. The river just isn't that interesting. I wouldn't be surprised if there are a lot of un-released videos of people pointing over the shoulder of the cameraman and saying My god, what's that?!?.

Actually, the only decent footage is all from quite a distance. Like this- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwHjaik5qpg&feature=related . And that was released only recently. EVERYBODY saw the after crash footage. It seems odd that nobody caught the actual splash-down on a personal camera or phone. What time did it crash?
