Will a cell phone charging solar panel power a small motor?

I am making a mini solar car for a science fair project. i have had some problems sourcing a small solar panel to provide the power. My science fair partner couldn't find a stand alone panel, so she bought a solar powered cell-phone charger, intended for an IPhone. i was wondering if this will power a small motor to any degree of functionality, or if the panels used in such chargers are different than normal panels. i understand i will have to take the panel apart and strip it down to its basic components (panel, input and output wires).   I am making this car:

The thing to do is to accumulate the charge over a period - stick it on a supercap for example.
