Windows Movie Maker Sound Problem

Well I've made a lot of videos with windows movie maker. But recently I tried to import a .mp3 music file and the programme simply will not play it! This is very frustrating as this has not happened in the past. Video and .wav sound works fine, but I don't want to have to convert all of my music! Any suggestions?

This has happened to me too, I can't remember how I fixed it. I'd try to convert that one music file to different ones until it plays. You could also send a question to Microsoft's support system.

Movie Maker works with MP3 files.  Or atleast mine does.  I just tried it.   I"m using XP home.

Have you slid the slider to 100% music track?

Bugger. It's the music track that won't play, not the video, so I'd go with the file-format not being liked (at a bit of a guess)

Convert the file before importing, or get a different video editor which understands MP3's. Sorry....
