atx power supply?

I 'accidentally' loaded the atx power supply with 10 amps. It is requires 4 amps to work, I am worried that the protection circuits will be blown. Would it be safe to use now with a 4 amp supply now?

I live in the U.K.

Are you saying you plugged it into a 10 amp power strip? if so then no problem. It doesn't care home many amps are in the power strip as long as there are enough to power it. If you said you took 10 amps out of the output when it should only supply 4 then that may be a problem.

I'm not too sure between your use of "supply" and "load".

I 'accidentally' added a 10A load to a 4A atx power supply with 10 amps. I am worried that the protection circuits will be blown. Would it be safe to use now with a 4 amp load?
You should be concerned about the ATX, but the 4A load should be just fine.

Souldn't be any damage or problem.
