build closet shelves?

I want to build shelves in an existing closet.  I want to have one long shelf across the top and several half shelves down the right side.  The open side on the left could be used for broom, vaccuum, etc.

I've done Rubbermaid Configurations and ClosetMaid.  Go with Rubbermaid Configurations.  You can get it on Amazon with free shipping.  It did wonders for one closet.  The other closet...  well it was with ClosetMaid and is still a work in progress.  Couldn't really recommend it.

Get closet shelf brackets at the hardeware store and cut shelves to fit.  Make sure the brackets are screwed into the studs for strength.  Measure carefully so that the shelves are level.
