can i convert serial, parallel, mouse ports to usb so i can have a usb port on my laptop?

my usb port on my laptop is busted, i tried to fix it but it didn't work so i am looking for something that can convert the ports that I have that still work into a usb female port! any help will be much appreciated!!!

ZeroGX is right, you can get adaptors to allow a PS2 mouse and keyboard to plug into the laptop USB socket, but not the other way around.
You have to use a PCMCIA to USB adaptor - Not cheap though.
(Most laptops still have a PCMCIA slot, normally under a hinged cover, about 2" x 1/4")

you can use a usb to ps2 converter but only for a keyboard or mouse. there is not any usb to serial or parallel converter.

you got it the wrong way around i want to convert a serial e.c.t... TO usb not the other way around!

If your laptop has a PCMCIA slot you can buy a PCMCIA USB card that will fit into the slot. Just do a Google search for "PCMCIA USB"
