can you simplify 123 divide by3 = 41?

Well, 3 and 41 are both prime. See:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Integer_factorization

So I think 123 = 3*41  is about as simple as it's going to get.

You mean like this? (By the way... make sure you learn it and not just copy it). :-)

So.... 3 goes into 12, 4 times.... 4 X 3 = 12..... bring down the 3.... 3 goes into 3 one time.... 3 - 3 = 0

Answer is 41
I thought the answer was 42.
LOL... :P
I am trying to remember what grade we learned that in. But I was so small I can't exactly place it. I think it was right after we learned how to multiply.
Ya... I don't quite recall anymore...
Ahem. You're not supposed to do people's homework for them. Give a man a fish, and all that...
LOL... Agreed. (That's why I suggested the OP learn it, instead of just copying it). :-)

That's already just about as simple as you can make it.
