how can i fix my windows live messenger?
i keep getting an error that says windows live communications platform has stopped working anyone has been getting this i have the most recent windows messenger and i am using vista idk what is wrong with it if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction i would gladly appreciate it

Honestly, the best way I found to deal with that problem in my own experience was to uninstall Windows Live messenger and use Meebo. After doing that, I never had a problem with instant messaging ever again.
V-Man has the idea - uninstall and reinstall the application. If it doesn't work - something else is wrong and you may need to take more action such as reinstalling windows, configuring the network, or using an alternative (like meebo, pidgin, trillian, etc)
