The first thing you should do is check whether you really forget login password or not. When we install Windows, it automatically creates an account “Administrator” and sets its password to blank. So if you have forget your user account password then try this:
Start system and when you See Windows Welcome screen / Login screen, press ctrl+alt+del keys Twice and it’ll show Classic Login box. Now type “Administrator” (without quotes) in Username and leave Password field blank. Press Enter and you will be able to log in Windows.

Or you can get into the Safe Mode to reset your account password from “Control Panel -> User Accounts”. In Safe Mode Windows will show this in-built Administrator account in Login screen.

Joe Martin has it, unless you have XP Professional where I believe pressing CTRL + ALT + DEL twice at the Welcome Screen will give you the admin login. If no one has set a password it should just need RETURN.
Go to START>setting>control panel>User accounts, reset the password for TYLER and set the Administrator password to something you won't forget. From there on it will appear at the Welcome Screen. You might want to check that TYLER is a restricted account and doesn't have administrator privileges.

In any XP system I've ever seen, even in Safe Mode, you still need a user name and password to get in. The administrator account will let you in, if a password hasn't been set, but you don't need to use Safe Mode to do that.

There may be a way, if you have a bit of luck. I have found that many times, XP users don't set an administrator password.  If so, you can login as administrator, and change or delete user accounts.
Bring up the login window, and type in the word "administrator" and leave the password blank and then hit enter. If that doesn't work, capitalize the first letter "Administrator" and try again. If you get in, then go to user accounts and make the changes you want.
Good luck.

If you boot it into safe mode  (Hold the F8 key while booting up the computer)  hopefully depending on how your son made his account there should be an administrator account, click on this that it should then login and go the the desktop, click on start menu, control panel, user accounts, click on his account name, then remove password, close that window and then restart the computer.

THere are lots of way to do this but most involve downloading some routine and running it on the computer.  Google "find xp password".  See what you get.
