So, if you've seen what these messages mean, what have you done to fix them ? Like reseating the keyboard cable, changing the back-up battery etc ? Have you tried to fix them ?

dude, ive reset the keyboard, (my mouse got flushed in the toilet) bt nowhere it sais that its a mouse problem, nyways, ive reset the keyboar, hit the motherboard wid a hammer (didnt brk it, still turns on and gives stupid error numbers) ive heated the thing wid a lighter, put it in the freezer, (in one sentence ive tryed evrything i found on net so far, and tryd some stuff my self)
All these tests and nothing,,
Wud da hell should i do, i want it fixed i really luvv it, bt nothing doin anything :/
You haven' changed the back-up battery ?

i really need to go to a lot of trouble to do dat, (ibm service center is pretty far) ,, but i didnt try bcoz the battery error only comes a few times, mostly its ok
I think hitting it with a hammer and attacking it with a lighter will have killed any chances of making it work properly now.

owwh come on!!!, it still gives the same damn error msg 8611 , and i only tried to burn off the plastic around a broken screw and when failed later on broke it with a hammer, ,,,
What do u have to say about this so called 8611 ??

See my link for a suggested fix for the 8611 code, but from the errors you're getting and the treatment you've given it since, I think you should stop wasting your time on this and get hold of something a bit more functional.
And a word of advice - laptops will work for a lot longer if you treat them with some degree of care.

So its terminal then. Sometimes things are beyond fixing, you will learn that better as you log in a few years.

Why on earth would you use a lighter and a hammer on your motherboard?

according to my google search, the 8611 error is a "trackpoint error, most likely in your keyboard or subcard"

Its a pretty old notebook, Pentium 2 running windows 98 from I can tell.
It might be time to upgrade. Anyway if you try Google you can find a lot. Here is one link from a support forum.

http://www.fixya.com/support/t290907-ibm_thinkpad_600x_pc_notebook_08611

And then you can go to Lenovo's list of error codes. Which is here

From what I am reading I thinks its dying, and aspirin will not help it.

The third post HERE suggests it's a trackpoint detection problem, and suggests a fix for it.

Several years ago I had a 600x where it stalled at bootup because the processor fan wasn't running.  My fix was to blow hard into the side port to spin the fan each time I booted it and that kicked it into life.

huh?
But the fan does spinn, mayb nt really fast, i do recken the processor getting really hot, bt the fan's not on the processor its on the motherboard, no wonder which stupid idiot put a fan on capasitors, bt were u havin the same error msg....?
