In some areas, performance driving courses can at least partly pay for themselves in reduced auto insurance (on the theory that after taking one you should be better able to handle the car in an emergency). Even if not, they often aren't all that expensive. Definitely worth checking into if you like this sort of thing. (Personally, all I want a car to do is to get me and my stuff from one point to another safely, efficiently, and not too slowly or uncomfortably.)

Get a rear wheel drive vehicle. not your average Honda or Toyota Camry. ;-)
