As others have said, this depends mostly on how much it weighs, slightly on the size of the package, and a bit on exactly which service you want to use -- the Express Mail "one pound" rate is actually pretty good.

Full details can be found at http://postcalc.usps.gov/

If you aren't sure, and don't have a scale, take it to your local post office and they'll be glad to weigh it for you and suggest the best option.

thanks guys :] i actually ended up going to meijers (yup the meijers i went to has a usps spot) and shipping it. ugh. well its not as hard as i thought it would be. so thats a plus. but shipping a small box is 4.95 :[ grrrr well... i guess they have to make money somehow.

Take it to the nearest USPS office and weigh it, ask the teller for the lowest cost price to send xxx ounces to zzzz zip code.

+1. If it's small enough to be sent through "letter mail" then the clerk will charge you the equivalent value in stamps, and send it on its way. They'll probably have a little slot to test the thickness of the parcel - if it fits through, it can be sent letter mail.

.  Weigh the whole package - the envelope, the shirt, any correspondence, &c. Call your local USPS office and ask "How much to send a <your pkg wt> ounce eight-and-a-half-by-eleven envelope?". Or look it up on their web site.
