how to connect multiple small solar cells to produce more output voltage?

how do you connect small solar panels (such as in landscaping lights) in series to produce a max output voltage? i have tested one solar panel and the output voltage is around 2 v in bright sunlight. i want to connect five or six in series to produce at least an output of 10 volts.

Wire them in series, measure exactly which wires are positive wrt the other one with a meter, and put them +..- +...- +...- etc etc

+1

For solar panels Series  ( +-+-...) means voltage multiplier, and Parallel means current multiplier
I think +1 back at you for the expansion !

lol...ty...I just figured I'd toss a bit more to the mix for its educational value. Maybe one more educated newbie or at least maybe better armed for his next endeavor ;-)
