how to make a positive and negative wire out of one wire?

I am building a robot and I need to know how to connect the wires in the power cell to a switch, then to the motor. It is a DC motor. I am in robotics.

If you are in the UK, simply ask any handy 11 year old about complete circuits.

If you're in the US, you might need a 14 year old. We're kind of slow out here in the woods.

You can make it a chassis ground. The chassis is used as the grounding terminal and a single wire is used as the positive lead.

do you mean you only want to run one wire?   maybe look for a wire that also has a shield in it that you can hook up and a secondary wire.

I don't understand the question. The obvious answer would seem to be "cut the wire in half so you have two wires", but one would hope you aren't asking anything so obvious.

You wire a motor exactly the same way you wire a light bulb. Does that help?
