But you have to treat it like it was asbestos or arsonic or plutonium. It's nasty stuff if you get the fibers in your skin, it works it's way deeper. Much worst than fiberglass. It's serious if you breath the dust of fibers in your lungs. Very bad stuff.
If you stress it to the point of breaking it doesn't just snap it explodes. I broke a carbon fiber bow and it just shredded violently.
Becareful and do some more research before you do what ever it is that you're going to do.

When cutting, ALWAYS wear a dust mask, large gloves, long sleaves and eye protection. The "fiber" bit in the word is the dangerous part, because when it gets into your skin it can cause a lot of pain, and can be lethal if you get a largish splinter in you.
Using a wet hacksaw blade is the best option, because it keeps fiber dust levels down and cuts relatively fast.
Best option would be to ask some one who has done it a fair bit before, I personally have only done it on a very small scale operation.
