modding an oral irrigator to a blast cleaner?

i got the idea when i saw this: http://www.instructables.com/id/Make-a-modelers-orbital-sander-out-of-a-toothbrush/

But because i do not own an oral irrigator, i don't know if it's possible. Is the power enough to mod it into an blast cleaner? is the nozzle big enough for any material (sand or backing soda or whatever)?

I am unwilling to buy an oral irrigator for relatively much money only to find out that it has no use...

it would be useful for postprocessing my 3d-prints....

Unlikely. The particles of soda are likely to jam in the micro sized nozzle.
