"Fly Eye" Goggles design concept - 360 Degree vision?
My idea was to take a series of small webcams and arrange them on a headband so that they cover a 360 degree panorama around the wearer, then join all the images together and feed it to a set of video goggles. Initially I imagine it would be very disorientating, but hopefully after a while the wearer's mind would start to compensate for the distortion, giving them panoramic vision.
I assume the various feeds from the webcams would have to be routed through a computer to process them into a single image, but I'm not sure how that could be done on a software level.
Thoughts? Ideas? Help? Warnings?
Thanks once again.
