sketchup pepakura question?

Hello,

I have just discovered sketchup and also, today, I have downloaded pepakura.

These are both the free versions.

I have made a model and my only option is to export as a dae or kmz file.

Pepakura does not recognise these.

The internets seem to say that you can import dae into pepakura but I can't see how.

Is this only possible with the paid for versions ?

Wow, sketchup is great.

Thank you

From the Pepakura website:

Pepakura Designer can import KMZ file exported from GoogleSketchUp 6.0 or 7.0.

The file format was changed when the version of SketchUp moves to 7.1.

We are sorry that Pepakura Designer does not have good compatibility with SketchUp which version is higher than 7.0.

The older version of SketchUp is available from :

Another solution is to use a plug-in for SketchUp.

A plug-in which name is ‘OBJExporter’ enables SketchUp to export 3D
models into an OBJ file which can be imported to Pepakura Designer.

The plug-in is available at:
