well, this depends on what firmware you're on right now. I'm pretty sure that with firmware 1.5 and under, you can put any firmware on your psp without a pandora's battery. but above 1.5, you do need one.

Please speak English here. You will need a pandora battery to apply custom firmware to your psp, As far as I know that is the only safe method of this.
