 "The works" active ingredient is 20% Hydrochloric acid by volume. 
6HCl + 2Al -> 2AlCl3+ 3H2
or, 6 moles of hydrochloric acid react with 2 moles of aluminum metal to produce 2 moles of aluminum trichloride and 3 moles of hydrogen gas.
