what might have caused my dog to stars bury his food?

I feed him every morning before I go to school. I fill up his bowl and every day when I get home all my dirty clothes are on top of his bowl in the corner? dose anyone have any idea as to why he might be doing this?

It's his instinct, plain and simple. You can try to correct your pet if you catch them in the act, but it's going to be a long, hard road. I suggest you put your clothes in a hamper and see if that helps.

I don't know for sure, but our old blind shitsu almost always tries to bury his food before he eventually eats it. I have found that if he trys to bury it, (under blankets or clothing) he will generally eat it as soon as he is done burying it. However, if he doesn't try to bury it, he generally doesn't eat it. Boy am I confused. I don't know if he is burying it to try to say he doesn't like it, or maybe he is trying to save it for later but then can't wait for later or what he is trying to do. If anyone knows, I would surely like to hear from you. Thanks a bunch.

. A lot of dogs hide their food. I had a AU Cattle Dog that would "hide" (sometimes it was just stuck in a corner and not hidden at all) food all around the house. . It may help to leave the food bowl empty. Only feed as much as he will eat at the time. Just a guess.
