8n+7
where n is any non-negative integer.  I'm sure of that.

What's -1 divided by 8?  Does 8 go into -1, -1 times with a remainder of 7?

-1*8 + 7 = -1

-1 mod 8 = 7
AndyGadget has the correct answer.

This would be 71. 71 / 8= 8 + 7.
(8*8)+7=71.
Pie.
That was my thought, except that in my experience the remainder is never more than 6.
Yeah, I may have been a little optimistic in my estimate, especially if Key Lime is involved somehow.
 Pecan?
I have never met a pie I didn't like.
Mincemeat?

OK, maybe not mincemeat.
Lemon merange.  Or pecan or walnut subed for the pecan.  Or pumpkin.
Dutch Apple, with ice cream. French Silk. Grasshopper.
