would this be a good reflective material for L.E.D.S?

if you have any other suggestiones on a reflective material that would be good for L.E.D's please provide. this is the link of the material http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MIRROR-CHROME-VINYL-SHEET-ROLL-15-WIDE-X-FEET-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem3ca0d7d354QQitemZ260396536660QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

It depends what the application is - which you don't state.

Is it simply for making the LED's look brighter to the hman eye, or for helping to grow plants - both applications will 'see' the brightness differently - especially in the case of plants, the uniformity might create 'spots' of gretaer brightness (and heat, if there are other lamps (non-led) nearby )

this would be the little project, i would like to put a reflective material.
it wont be for growing plants but to make the l.e.d's look brighter
then it depends partly/significantly on the focus angle of the leds you have - I am aware of leds having both narrow and wide 'apertures' - your refelctive strategy would need to enhance the leds built-in focus for example a narrow led beam would not suit a wide-angle reflection. if you have space then a parabola would suit your needs for both a wide and narrow focus beam. Also remember that leds are desigend to beam from the front and not the back and so putitng the refletive material *behind* the leds will reduce the effectiveness - put the reflective material in line with the element that emits the light - this means making holes and embedding/securing the leds (prob with silicone sealant) to achieve this. if you need further clarification please say so.

on another note - the email i got was that people are answering *my* question, lol! perhaps a little tweak is needed!
...added later...

yay! and I get told I've replied to my own question!

how cool is that? lol!

I expect it might be - its similar to the sort of shiny plastic chip bags are made from sometimes without the printing on one side.
