My boyfriend found this kitty tonight... she doesn't have a name yet. :D But we're keeping her!
could we take pictures of other peoples pets as I know longer have one (I moved and had to leave my chickens behind)?

The first and third one demonstrate most cavy personality types. Shy (especially that third photo, hiding their heads = I'm safe LOL). The second picture, and the fourth one show our most outgoing cavy; Snuggles: curious and funny.
The last one shows a bit of an optical illusion. If you look carefully, it APPEARS as though the Agouti colored piggy has his head mounted on a newspaper wall of sorts.
Not to fear, he is turning his head and his body is hidden at an angle. Tis hard to believe they can turn those tubby / stubby little bodies that sharply, but they can.

Cute, how many do you have? I like the second picture with the white one looking out of the cage.
At this point, we have 3 girls left. The one looking out of the cage (and also at the keyboard), is Snuggles. The one behind her in the cage is Marshmallow (marshy), and the Grey agouti one looking out of the tube is Maura. We get them from the local shelter, when we can. The others are no longer with us....
What did you do to post your pictures? You were having trouble before.
I was in MSIE, I went home and used my FF browser and it worked.
One more note, although it is hard to see from the pictures, Snuggles has DEEP BLUE eyes. Most Cavies have blood red or deep ruby red eyes; she is a very special piggy in many ways :-)

There appears to be a problem posting images, hopefully the bug will be fixed soon.
It seems ESPECIALLY problematic in MSIE....I can post from home fine (FF recently updated)
I was wondering if it was browser specific, since I haven't had any trouble posting images with FireFox.

Can we just let you see an instructable about our pets becuase my library is just not quite working...
Sure or you can wait until it is fixed, I think the instructables staff are working on it. I have not set a deadline for the contest so there is time.

Hmmm, I I seem to have picked a bad time to run this contest. Well I haven't set a deadline, so there is time.
Well, I have two pictures, one is in my library, the other one at home.....but the one is just "cute", not really anything spectacular photography-wise.....the other one uses a combonation of content shadowing and the cavy's "position" to make a really odd looking effect :-)
Nice, hopefully they will fix the image bug soon. I'd love to see both pictures.
Well, I've been told it is a really "odd looking, somewhat disturbing looking" picture LOL
He's super cute, great picture too. Since people are having trouble posting pictures that is a great way to work around it.
I think replying with images in comments has been buggy since the Facebook thing was put in and will require major work to fix it *sigh* But at least you were able to get image notes working on your instructable. That comes and goes too.
I'm not sure how long I'll be running the contest, it depends on whether I get a lot of entries, there does not seem to be much interest at this point.
Sure, but you will need to post a picture of your pet first!
