Add Request

I do occasionally look at the adds, but I find it really annoying having to remember to hold CMD when I click on them so they open in a new tab.

Could the instructables team please re-program the site so that it will open the adds and links in a new tab or window, just like facebook?

Thanks,
BB

What menu do you get when you right-click an ad' with your browser?

Same issue with external links in 'ibles, though making it not open all links in a new tab would be a complicated distinction...

I suppose it'd be something like if link contains "http://instructables.com/" then open in same tab, if no then open in other... But in spangly code language.

On the other hand I've come to love mouse gestures...

I know, there are about 5 different ways to do it, but I still think it would be a nice courtesy for the ibles team to make a minor change to the programming

You want the site to change the way ad's are handled because it occasionally causes you a minor inconvenience?

Clicking a mouse with your middle finger is much more difficult than the pointer finger.

And, it is one extra mouseclick!  Think of all the time you could save if you removed one mouseclick.  It could save minutes, maybe even hours over ones lifetime!

I can click both buttons with my pointer finger, but since I can manage the right one anyway I'm not inconvenienced.

I have all macs.
I have to hold down control, and click, then click again.

Oh yes. Try asking Apple if they can improve their system...?

Some time ago, people were telling PC to put a mouse on in the first place
lemonie in reply to BartboyFeb 2, 2010. 11:34 PM
It was Apple that introduced the 1-button mouse as I remember. But PCs had to go 1 better on the buttons, then two better etc...

On that note though, I just remembered, and realized something.
Pro's don't have advertisements, which is cool. However, we also have a big space where the advertisements used to be, which isn't cool. I say they should close that annoying gap.

(And I support your suggestion)
