I had to share this because it was so dang funny! I am also sharing a picture of my son's dog in the winter at the cabin. He is a very spoiled pup! I am including a link to a hilarious video because if you have a dog you just might have a potential housekeeper,  if you have a good training knack!

Indeed :-) 90% of it was text ONLY.....and who can forget those wonderful times when one was nearly finished with a large long download, only to have the spouse (or child) pick up the extension phone.....ah yes those were the days - acoustic couplers etc. LOL

egads, how do you update your firewall? It would take days sometimes at that speed.....I HAD to get DSL as I didn't have much hair left to pull out while waiting :-)

I don't know. It's my dad's computer. I'm just a teen. If I wanted to play an online game it would take about 15 min. or even 30 min. to load. If my dad wanted to update his computer it would take about 6 hours at least.

I would think....back when I first started with an on line connection at home, I had dial up and after a "mid-year" purchase of a firewall, it tried to update for the prior 6 months, and it not only took FOREVER, but constantly dropped the line and had to start over....it was horrible. In my area, DSL doesn't cost much more (and in some cases is less than) dial up costs.

Yeah. That does get annoying. I'd be here uploading pictures and then suddenly they kick me off the internet. I live in a canyon so I can't get wireless. And cable is too expensive. LOL! Most of my friends are wealthy and they're always like "Why won't know get cable!" and I'll be "Be cuase it's too expensive!" and so on. They don't seem to get how money works. They'll get a load of money and blow it all before thinking of saving some of it. But yeah, dail up is so annoying.

Yes, cable IS expensive....but if you have a phone line, DSL (which is still high speed) could be available.

Ok and don't limit yourself to those two ISP's....there may be others that are more ecconomical in your area.

Yep, do the research, impress him when you find one that is the same price or less and not just a special one time deal, and that it is much faster. :-)

LOL! the Christmas picture was funny! My dog once did what your dog did when she begs. She'll stand up like a bunny and then look at me. But I've never gotten a picture her doing that. :(

Domino is always sitting up like that. We have a ritual of a morning where he gets a fish oil capsule (for his coat) followed by a dog biscuit. He bounces up and down waiting for some attention and we tell him that he has to use his manners and say please to get it, so the rear plops to the ground and the front paws come up.
Just found out the image bug is fixed, so I'll add the photos to this post.
