Ati Radeon 2400 Pro series

I got a ati radeon 2400 hd pro and i put in my PCI express slot and it boots up fine but when it loads it reads as radeon 2400 Xt for some reason anyone got any suggestions as to why this is happening?. if you need more info let me know cant be drivers its the original disk for drivers and its not virus cause i reformatted twice and it still happening

i got zone alarm pro now, it says "radeon 2400 xt" when in im installing the drivers for the card. (orig disk). and i just continue the installation then reboot when it finishes and the catalyst control center says there's not card in the, at least not read able

Is this BIOS reading it wrong? May not be a problem - does it work OK? I'm a bit concerned by "reformatted twice" as that sounds a bit extreme, for what reason did you do that? L

o this was over a period of like 4 months and i ended up gettin a trogan that i couldnt romove the first time i reformtted. where would i find out where the graphics card is beening read at?

I meant where does it say it's a radeon 2400 Xt? You know how these cards can simply be slightly different versions of each other, what it says might not be important. My BIOS reports the card pretty much immediately after I press the on button and it's gone beep.
As for trojans, you want some good software for the future I think.
