not much of one, the a/c motor would have to be changed to DC by adding magnets so the coils could produce current. u would remove the grille and u might get 20w maybe 30w in a very strong wind (more than 20mph) , depending on the diameter of the box fan, i think the standard is about 18" , which would prob yield less than 20w , u might get that with a 24" fan - a box fan blade is meant to deliver wind, not receive it .. GPS has a nice video on adding magnets to a fan and he spins it with a rechargeable drill and shows the power it produces
Sure. Won't be a very good one. Any motor can be used as a generator. Some are better than others.
