CAD on Mac.

Does anyone here do CAD 3d modeling on mac? If So, what program, and where can I get it. Looking for open source, or free stuff. Would be great if it opened files from autodesk inventor. Thanks

You can run AutoCAD R14 in linux w/ WINE, you might want to check out using WINE on mac.

Thanks, will look
There are a series of programs by Ashlar-Vellum which might do what you are looking for: Cobalt, Xenon, and Argon. Argon being the simplest version and Cobalt the most sophisticated. I haven't used them myself but they are comprehensive packages and fairly expensive. There is a two week free version for testing. There is a competitive product called Concepts Unlimited (free crippled version available), which apparently works similarly to the above-mentioned programs. Price unknown. They all work on a Mac. Or, if you have an Intel based Mac, you could use Windows on your Mac and have access to "Windows Only programs". I do that and it works quite well. If you can run Windows, there is a free version of Alibre, which will open SAT and IGES files, etc (I think). No time limit, but with limited capabities relative to the the full version.

Thanks! yes, it is an intel based one, but I have a moral issue with paying Micro$$$$oft $200 for xp. I'll try the ones you listed. Do you know of any open source projects?
Sorry LinuxH4x0r, I don't know.
