Cameras make high voltage?

I heard disposable cameras use high voltage for the flash. so if you were to take out the capacitor from 2 and plug the lead to the flash from 1 camera into the battery holder for another you could keep putting them together to get higher and higher voltages right?

No. The "input" side of the voltage converter will burn out quite rapidly if you feed high voltage into it.
It also requires relatively high current, which isn't available at the output.
At some point not too far above the nominal 300V output, the insulation on the transformer windings will stop being effective, and you'll get arcs internal to the transformer.

Plasmana has several instructables using the camera flash electronics for other purposes...
