Can someone post an instructable for a sheet metal brake made of wood?
Many sheet metal brakes were made of wood. I would like to know if someone knows how to make one.

in reply to Mar 31, 2012. 2:56 PMReplyThat's what I love about Instructables. People post a lot of pictures. Although your suggestion is a great approach, I need to figure out what it is in the text. Thank you.

in reply to Mar 30, 2012. 6:18 AMReplyI remember that a friend built a makeshift sheet metal brake out of two pieces of two by four. We used to install aluminum flashing around windows. I am interested in building one for a workshop.

You might want to use metal plates as the wear and bearing surfaces where the bend is made. Various ways to clamp the sheet metal and leverage the bending bar.
