Coming Soon! A Children's Book for Makers

Hi friends!

Sneha Pai and I (grad students in the SVA MFA Interaction Design program) are putting our heads together for an exciting new project we'd like you to be a part of. In a few weeks, we'll be kickstarting a children's book called The Maker's Alphabet. If you'd like to follow along our journey, please sign up for our launch updates:

Have ideas and input? We'd love to hear them! Feel free to share in the comments. :)

Thanks for your support!

Adafruit has their AtoZ Coloring Book of Electronics, maybe that is the same vein as your project. It is free for download or the hardcopy for purchase.

Even for a children's book, a cartoonized illustration should still be technically correct especially if the audience is full of maker parents or adults or older children. The circuit makes no sense and if wired that way to a real arduino would not work. The buzzer or sound element needs at least two wires, first pin is AREF for input voltage not LED, etc.

Good luck.

Thanks so much, @caitlinsdad! This is all super helpful. You're spot on about the piezo circuit – right now it's running on pure imagination rather than electricity. :) Will definitely go back and revise that illustration.
