Compatibility with Firefox

Have you noticed that the menu system does not appear to work with Firefox vs. 8?  When I search using this method on Firefox, I never get a link to an actual instructable.  Also, the adds seem to hover in the way of links.  However, In IE vs. 8, the links work, but some of the text and link fields overlap.  It just seems like there are some HTML programming issues that need to be addressed to make the site more navigable.

The site is supposed to be optimised for FF, so it would be really helpful if you could include screen-shots of the problems.

As for your search issue, the box top-right gives results for the whole site, page by page and step by step.

If you want to restrict your search to the first pages of projects, start your search, then click "graphical search", then select "Instructables" from the drop-down menu.

Please don't mind me, I just want to reply to a few comments.

Er, OK?

Yeah. That should be fixed now. Someone was having fun with our filter system and added something akin to adding *.* to a file search string in dos. Apparently, that just destroys all coments...so we'll not be doing that again.

OK, I took two screen shots (pdfs), one of the add that overlaps text and the other is what you get when you drill down through the menus, starting with cookies. When I take the same path in IE8, it does show inks, so I knew they were there, just not showing up in FF.

Looks like both problems have the same root - the pop-up add.

Unofficially, I'd suggest installing adblocker...

I am seeing the same behavior using FF 8. I don't mind using adblocker if I have to, but I hope you will consider fixing the issue. It doesn't reflect well on your usual commitment to quality.
