Corded to cordless

I've seen lots of instructables on turning cordless tools into corded tools, but not a single one the other way round. I want to know how it works the other way round. How do you make a corded tool into a cordless? Please, please help!

Google "DeWalt flexvolt drill/tablesaw/mitersaw"

Corded tools use high voltage, normally over 10 times more.

Why not just buy a cordless one?

because I've got corded tools which I want to turn into cordless tools to use where there is no mains power supply and I can't afford to buy cordless tools, and I'd like to know how to convert corded into cordless, to learn.

How about a car battery > 12V DC to 110/220V AC converter (incorrect term I believe, inverter maybe?) > tools?

I don't know what tools you have, but I don't think it'll be cheap.

How about these?:

I don't know if you're powering a drill or a tablesaw, so buy one that can supply more than enough amps/watts.

How about a generator? I don't know...
