Design and development in the New World

From the MAKE blog, I found an outstanding article in The Economist on product development in the age of rapid prototyping.

In their usual fashion, The Economist gets into the nuts and bolts of how a pair of entrepreneurs used rapid prototyping and Kickstarter to create a real product from their initial ideas. It's a great case study for DIY-ers who think they have something marketable, to show how they could make that happen.

Awesome article kelseymh!

Great links and what a story:
-Wanted $10,000 to start at least one production run,
-Have got $70,000 already (Kickstarter funding not finished)!

No wonder the Economist picked it up.
Makes you itch to try ideas...
