Dirty Trick

It's a pretty dirty trick to to get a person to sign up, only to find out that nothing can be downloaded without paying for it. That stinks

There are two ways to go about getting unlimited downloads: 1- pay for a pro membership or 2- publish a project that gets featured.

Sorry that you feel like you got the ol' bait and switch upon joining. If you scroll down on the sign-up page, you'll see a breakdown of the benefits of free membership vs. pro membership.

Ever heard of copy-paste?

There are well over a hundred thousand projects here, all donated for free, all available for free. You don't even have to sign up to get it all.

Don't you think it's a bit ungrateful to moan that you can't snag it all in a particular format for free?

Browsers have a save as function. Nice ones like opera save an entire page in one file. Nice.

I agree, they took me in the same way! They should state that signing up for free does not get you anything!!!!!!

The particular project I was looking for only showed the pictures, no measurements or instructions.. So, since it has gone to pdf format, which you can only get with a paid membership, cut and paste wouldn't do me any good on that one. But thanks for your insightful input kiteman.
As Kiteman said, the PDF is nothing more (and nothing less) than simply repackaging all and only the information provided by the author into a pretty-printable format. You may wish to contact the author of the project (either by commenting on the I'ble itself, or in a private message) to find out whether they can provide enough information to actually build it.
There is no extra information in a PDF. Anything missing from the free version is also missing from the PDF.
I agree. Glad that doesn't happen around here.
