Does anyone know how to make plant tension rod hangars

Does anyone know how to make plant tension rod hangars with adjustable plant hangars?  The rod can be a shower rod, but I can't figure out how to EASILY make the plant hangar part.  See photo of one from Miles Kimball for more detail. 

Hope I'm not out of line in asking this here, just looking to do this myself.

You can start with a spring loaded closet hanging rod and mount plant holders to it.

Thanks, Joe. It's the mounting of the plant holders I'm struggling with as I don't really want to drill holes into the tension rod. Ideas?

Oh that is easy it is called a ring wedge.
It works like the trick natives use to collect coca nuts.
You can also use a bar bent into an S.

Ohhhh! Very cool. How do I make one? I don't have access to a welder, nor the skills to weld.

Start with a break line bender and a steel rod ¼ or 3/8 in diameter.
Google “Break Line Bender” to see the different kinds.
Normally I would weld at the red circle however since you don’t weld, loop the steel rod a couple times.
And there you have a plant holder.

If your plants are really heavy shape the holder like this.
