Not if it is of bad quality, I made that mistake, and got the tape adhesive on the screen.

Mythbusters actually made a duct tape boat, and it worked.... Just made out of a pipe frame and duct tape, barely leaked... check it out!

I have made way to many things out of duct tape my favorite use for duct tape is for making pure 100% duct tape projects. I have made At least 10 wallets 3 hats 2 belts cell phone case my name on my room wall written in 3D block letters with shadows made out of black tape ( actualy thing is 2D but looks 3D) umm moose antlers (attachment for the hat) mini boat mini vest ( fail) sheeth for wood knife ( or however you spell it) water bottle holder for bike ( fail) and a bunch more that i cant think of

Duct Tape goes almost everywhere with me. One use was for a cheap chair repair and I used it for several other projects as of a quick repair of a water hose we had and it held up long enough for my task(we did buy a new hose though) An as of what I use it for I say I use it for all my little home projects.

Oddly I don't always find a need for it. Only things I can come up with is things from this year.
- Lazy quick patch for pool float
- Cover outside of a beer bottle so I wont get shocked (leyden jar)
- Hold the first and last coil of my tesla coils

a lot of Wallets Belt boat (well, cardboard and duct tape) I removed a drain clog with a vacuum and made the seal with duct tape .... pretty much you can make anthing with duct tape :D

You do not have to have a "phat" ds to make this. I had lite and made it just perfect.

the other day we actually did ure it on out heating ducts, lol
My main use it "emergency" repairs. If it moves and you don't want it to...duct tape it. If it is bleeding and you have no bandages and it is really a panic situation, duct tape it (don't do this if not an emergency, since removing the tape can just reopen and make the wound worse). ;-)

Well, since nobody has taken time to respond in the 30 seconds since i posted the topic, one of my favorite examples is when a friend of mine and I were backpacking and, having forgotten his belt, quickly fashioned himself a new one, complete with a very genius buckling system, all from duct tape. I will see if he can put up pictures, and maybe make an instructable, for his belt.
