3 Simple Ways to
Share What You Make

With Instructables you can share what you make with the world — and tap into an ever-growing community of creative experts.

PhotosPhotos

Share one or more photos of a project, recipe, or whatever you've made, quickly and easily.

Step by StepStep-By-Step

Share your step-by-step photos with text instructions of what you made so others can do it too!

VideoVideo

Share your how-to video. You'll need your embed code from a video site such as YouTube.

Email Alerts

It used to be that an Email alert was sent when someone replied to one of my comments. Now, I get the entire thread that follows my comment. This results sometimes in a plethora of Instructables emails frequently falling off topic or multiple single lines from those that like to respond to their own message multiple times! I much prefer the old way it was handled... I could follow the thread from there if I chose.

i like to respond to my messages... i guess you know that now... and you will probably get an email telling you the same thing. i have always hated the email alerts. thats one of the first things i look to turn off when i sign up for a forum.

That's part of the latest upgrade. Or downgrade, depending on your point of view.

. It's not unusual for me to get 3-4 copies of the same msg, but not the flood you are seeing. Have you tried turning off notification for a while and then turning it back on?

Yeah. I've always had a label (in gmail), that just keeps them out of my inbox. I have over 500 unread ones in there... its kind of scary :P
