Enter a contest!
There are currently three (yes, three) contests running on Instructables. Right now each one only has a few instructables entered so get going and try to win a prize.
The contest ending soonest is the Instructables, Popular Science, and TreeHugger "Go Green!" contest. The first prize is a hybrid bike and a mention in Popular Science magazine. There are 15 other prizes as well. That one closes on August 19 and that's just over two weeks away!
The other two contests as well. The Amazon.com® and Instructables Science Fair contest and the iRobot Create Challenge. Both of these end on August 31. Top prizes for these contests are a $1,500 gift certificate and $5,000 cash.
Time goes by pretty fast. I can't believe it's already August, but it happened and these dates will come up sooner than you think.

I am extremely miffed at the fact my camera just had to say good bye, so it's at the warranty service. I have ideas for all of these, but no camera=no pictures=not very awesome.

That's a good idea, but I don't have the spare cash to get it in the first place. Oh well, I think I *might* get a replacement by August 22nd.
Hah, i've got a similar problem, I smashed the LCD screen on mine a couple days ago, my wife say "No new camera" so I can't see what I'm taking pictures of.
Can you frame it with the viewfinder? I started doing that so that I wouldn't drain my batteries as fast.
No joy there, it is as Brennn calls it a throw away kodak with no viewfinder, but I have an idea.......
I'm working on a couple small things for the green contest, nothing earth shattering, but I could use another t shirt ;-) green contest and earth shattering ~snicker~
I've already entered the Science Fair, and I have another Instructable written, I just need a whole day of sun for the photos. It's August now, Summer. A day of Sun should happen sometime soon, even in the UK...

I am entered in the Go Green Contest! Hopefully I can get some good competition. Weissensteinhamburger's calculus hot dog roaster is an awesome Instructable as well as the compost pile. Lets get going!!! Byahhhhhhhhh!
I can't wait to live somewhere where I can have a compost pile and a garden. And yeah, bring on the competition and the flow of ideas!
