HOW TO PARTICIPATE
  1. Host a Build Night: pick a time in February to host a project build night using the Circuit Scribe . You can host multiple build nights during February to work on your projects.
  2. Post 2 Instructables: post 2 Instructables and 1 123D Sketch using the Circuit Scribe kits. Not posting these Instructables will affect your chances to participate in future build nights.
  3. Brownie Points (not required): after the build night post a forum topic on Instructables about your event. Include pictures, stories, etc... Here are two examples from past build nights: Noisebridge and Makers Local 256. We may even feature your photos on the homepage.

For one of our projects, we repurposed our polargraph drawing machine into a Circuit Scribe automatic drawing bot. Now our robot draws robots.

And our last project,an electronic puzzle builder with the Circuitscribe kit and 123D's Circuitscribe Editor! Definitely a training project we'll be using in the future: https://www.instructables.com/id/Creating-educational-electronic-puzzles-with-the-C/

For our 2nd Circuit Scribe project, Chuck used the prototype board from the earlier build to make a Circuit Scribe Synth board. This is a nice demo project that helps build on people's natural inclination to do simple circuits with the pens on paper, by adding sound into the experience. https://www.instructables.com/id/Exploring-Sound-Synthesis-With-the-Circuitscribe-C/

The Eureka! Factory does a lot of hands on educational programs and events with students and adults, often library staff developing makerspaces or creative programming. Our Circuit Scribe build caught Maker Extraordinaire Chuck Stephens' interest and he used the opportunity to test drive the Circuit Scribe kit with an eye to it as an educational tool. It looks like we'll be using it a lot!

Hi Carley! The Rabbit Hole would like to sign up for this, but for some reason the form won't work for me. I sent an email and hopefully we'll get to do some cool projects with this :)

Unfortunately the deadline to sign up was 12/19. The form closed out at that time. Sorry about that we had to hold the sign ups early for this event because of the holiday break.

Oh darn! (Reading the first sentence would help :p). Better luck next time for us then! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this so early. Our makerspace likes to plan events two months in advance, so this really helps!

Thanks! We're trying to plan ahead especially with the craziness of the holidays. Good to know for future planning.

Cheers!

Reflecting what YuKonstruct said about early posting. Thanks!

This is an exciting build night, particularly since it follows the MaKey MaKey build night. There's a lot of room for devious cohorts to get wacky when with both Circuit Scribe kits and MaKey MaKeys.
