Giant Mobile Pipe Organ!
Howdy! For those of you who've been around for a while you might remember me as one of Instructables' interns. I had the awesome privilege of being published in The Best of Instructables for my Guitar Hero controller hack. I'm currently working on a big project and would love your help.
I've been nominated for an award through The Fun Theory. The proposal is to create a pipe organ, called the Anywhere Organ, in which each pipe is connected to an air supply via a flexible hose. This allows the pipes to be installed with special care and attention to any space, creating a unique instrument whose character is an aspect of that space. The system is devised around Processing with midi signals coming in from a keyboard and being sent out to an Arduino to control the pipes.
A lot of the decision of what project gets the grant is your opinion and your votes. If you like the idea I'd love your support. Take a look at my proposal here. Vote for it with the little blue dots below the comments. They work just like the star rating system on Youtube.

I've been browsing The Fun Theory site since you posted this topic - what an excellent idea!
Once the current challenge is over, I think this site should get together with TFT and run a contest here.

Voted sir. That is a very nice idea! It would be quite an experince to be in a park, and have that park turn into an instrument around you.

It's important to share and make and support awesome things. That's why I love sparkfun and adafruit and things like that because I feel like I'm part of something awesome.
I love The Fun Theory. I also voted for you :) After checking the competition wasn't better of course :)
