Give Away "won" Membership Passes?

So I keep getting free memberships thanks to the guides I'm writing.

Heres the problem.  I think I have like 8 years built up at this point.  I was wondering if I could "gift" one of the free memberships I received today to a student in my class?  I've got a code for a 1 year membership and a 3 month membership for the most recent guide I wrote, and I've not redeemed either of them.

Just trying to spread the love to a middle school student in oder to encourage him to use the site.

Thanks!
Joshua

I hear a lot about this, and am always interested to see what people come up with.  You can gift your code to anyone you choose.  Or you can get creative with it!

For example, Sunshiine is running a sort of Ninja Contest to give away her extra codes.

You can always run your own contests, or open up a forum post to people who might want them and offer them challenges to compete for your love code.

The site gives you a code along the lines of "pony71shield". You can give this code to your student and they can redeem it by visiting https://www.instructables.com/go/pro and typing in the code whilst logged in.

+1

A lot of regular contributors have a "stock" of codes built up, which they sometimes give away behind the scenes (my whole family is pro that way).

I have some, that I'm trying to use to seduce other members of my hackerspace into posting Instructables of their own.

You should ask to document their project as your own, with them credited. Then when you tell them "Your project just reached 20K views!" it might spur them to post themselves :)

Oooh, I like the way you think!
