if ya' know how to create the "creme filling" in HOSTESS Cake products, please share it.  I could eat a tub of this by itself, i think.  thanks. jim

2 teaspoons soft butter
1/3 cup Crisco
1 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup granulated white sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
2 drops lemon flavoring

Using an electric mixer, mix the butter and Crisco. While still mixing add the sugars a bit at a time. Add the rest and whip 'til fluffy.

Not quite so long-lasting as a Twinkie, but have you tried butter icing?

Kiteman, i'm a fool for Butter Cream Icing. I would also like to 'make on desire', the Hostess' creme filling. thanks.
