Halloween Prop Contest!

Hello everyone!
Every year for the halloween contests we the staff have to draw some lines between props, costumes, and decor items.  This year we've decided to draw the lines similar to where actual theater companies draw their lines.  Believe it or not there is a prop union, costume union, and set union.  It helps to give us some firm definitions of what item goes into what contest!
This year props will be defined as the following: "an item that is often held or carried but not permanently attached to any sort of costume piece to add to or create a character."  A quick definition is do you hold it in your hand?  If the answer is yes, often, especially for pictures, then it's a prop.
Examples below!  If you have any questions please feel free to comment below and I'll answer them to the best of my ability!

What about a mobile RC item? It would be small/light enough to hold for pictures though you might just stand next to it. Does that count?

What about gigantic shoes? I can hold in my hand but they go on my feet.

LOL, that's funny.

No seriously, I'm asking if the gigantic shoes be considered a prop or costume?

Definitly costume.

VERY cool, but considering that you do wear them, I would guess that they would be a part of a costume. I know it makes writing you're instructable harder but... You never know, maybe Ms Sweety will think differently. Good luck.

Where can I find the instructable on that delightful steampunk gun?

I've seen a few people asking about the ibles that are featured in the "lets make" header lately. I know many times they're being used to promote a contest and therefore the link in the corner is for the contest, but it would be nice if there was also a link for the ible itself like there had been in the past.

So at least for right doing that would require some serious recoding of the front page. And unfortunately the Dev team has their plate pretty full kind of all the time, although extra full right now given the last spam attack. There is also the matter that we try to use the front page for the good of the whole site, not just the individual who made the project. I can understand the concern, but it probably won't be changing any time soon.
