I became a pro-member toady. I can access my account (thus i am logged in and the account is life) but can't download.

I am always asked whether I want to go pro. Should I pay again

It can sometimes take a few hours, or even a day for Pro abilities to work their way through the system.

If you're worried, drop an email to service@instructables.com with as much relevant detail as you can, and they will sort it for you. Be aware, though, that they are in California, and still in bed as I type this message.

I paid for pro in November - Still unable to download PDF's.

It looks like you're account is set to Pro. On a desktop when you click download in the top left hand corner does it not bring you to a page to download the PDF? If not, send an email to service@instructables.com and the support team and get to the bottom of it.

I paid for pro but can't download the PDF's. I'm in the learning phase and will post a build once I'm a bit more experienced. I need the download function to work.

If you have *just* paid, relax for a while - it can take a few hours for the system to register your new status.

Pro membership does expire, so you have to pay again, but you can keep it topped up for free if you post cool instructables that get featured.
