Did this close before the deadline I tried to add an instructable to the contest just on and it would not let me enter it.

It looks like yours in saying that it wasn't published until Dec 8 and the deadline for entry was Dec 7. I guess you just missed the deadline, maybe due to time zone or some other issues. Recipe looks good though.
