actually the bb canon work like this. I use a match cracker (that is what it is called here. and I might post a video at utube) and put it into a steel pen ( ignite first of course). then quickly put bb bullet into it. and walla!! when the cracker explode, the tremendous pressure will force the bb to come out very quickly. !!note!! this is dangerous . did it on your own risk.

Ahh I see. I tried something similar to this, most painful experience in my life.
